Are jews forgiving? Jews comprise most of the one percent that own the world. Are they forgiving?

They are forgiving as Shylock, in The Merchant of Venice, who said:

The slaves are ours. The pound of flesh which I demand of him is dearly bought. Tis mine, and I will have it.
